Don Sarlin, guitarist and songwriter, began his musical career in his late teens touring with Van Morrison, David Bromberg and others, playing Boston Symphony Hall, Carnegie Hall, the Isle of Wight Festival and numerous other halls and festivals in the US and abroad.
In his 20’s he went on to tour internationally with R&B singer Esther Phillips ("What a Difference a Day Makes"), Dean Friedman (“Ariel”) and Mary Travers (of Peter, Paul and Mary), appearing on SNL and other TV shows. Wearying of the road, he went on to a successful business career while continuing to play and write.
Don returned to performing in the 2000's, co-founding The TriSonics, an acoustic trio featuring guitar, Dobro and bass, with three genre-jumping instrumental albums to date.
His songs are likened to screenplays, capturing evocative characters, a plot and a sense of place. He performs them and exceptional solo guitar instrumentals, and shares fun stories of his thrilling and sometimes terrifying adventures on the road as a kid in the big time.
